Vision for Church Planting Through Partnership
Through our commitment to domestic sending, Sojourn Midtown has helped launch five churches in Louisville and thirteen nationwide. In 2011, we partnered with like-minded churches to form Harbor Network, a collaborative movement dedicated to planting healthy, gospel-centered churches that effectively reach the lost and overlooked.
Together with Harbor Network, we’re launching a structured, two-year church planting residency designed to equip planters with the grit, character, and skills essential for establishing sustainable, multiplying churches. This residency emphasizes Harbor Network’s core values of contextual flexibility, Christ-centeredness, and collaborative leadership, ensuring leaders are thoroughly prepared to engage diverse contexts effectively.
Harbor Residency Program
Our vision is to establish multiethnic, urban churches that embody the transformative power of the gospel. These churches will seek to reconcile diverse communities and address both spiritual and physical brokenness through gospel proclamation, acts of mercy, and justice. Rooted in a renewal-driven culture of multiplication, we invest in leaders deeply shaped by prayer and the gospel, equipping them to plant and sustain churches in complex urban contexts, trusting that God’s renewing work will bear lasting fruit.
